Julia (Galantis) Grigoriadis

Julia Grigoriadis, 59, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 in the presence of her loving husband and devoted daughters after a short, but courageous, battle with cancer. 

Julia is predeceased by her father, Elias Galantis, and is survived by her husband, Konstantinos (“Gus”) Grigoriadis; her daughters, Virginia (Sabatino) Kikis, Eleni (Danny) Vega, and Ipakoi Grigoriadis; her grandchildren, Stavros, Julia, Allison and Julia; her mother, Virginia Galantis; her sister, Ipakoi (Hristos) Paridis; her nieces, Maria, Virginia, Anastasia, Julia, and Mirofora; her in-laws, Dimitri (Irene) Grigoriadis,  Manoli (Argiroula) Grigoriadis, Minas (Zografoula) Grigoriadis, Mihali (Popanti) Grigoriadis, Zografoula (George) Perselis; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, as well as hundreds of others who will miss her dearly.

Julia and Gus had a timeless and perfect love story.  They raised their three strong and beautiful daughters, and as a family they ran Pop’s Family Restaurant for 30 years.   Julia was a bright light who loved to give and help others. Her philanthropic nature was unmatched, and she went above and beyond for anyone in need.  She welcomed patrons of the restaurant as if they were family and many grew to love her as a result.   She organized countless events to feed the less fortunate on Thanksgiving and often sacrificed time with her own family to make sure others were fed.  Her loss has left many heavy and broken hearts.  There was no one kinder and she will be greatly missed.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME 107 BROAD ST. Milford, CT 06460.  The funeral service will follow on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church 480 Racebrook Rd., Orange, CT 06477 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).
