Joseph H. Kasparek, Jr.

Joseph H. Kasparek, Jr., 89, formerly of Milford, CT, husband of Àngela Kasparek, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018. Born on June 16, 1929 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Helean  Kasparek. 

Joe graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with a Master’s degree in School Administration. He began working for the New York City Board of Education as a music teacher and after working for many years he retired as the Principal of P.S. 298 in Brooklyn, New York. Joe enjoyed listening to music and collecting antiques: old tins, signs and lighting fixtures. He also loved to travel.

Along with his loving wife, Joe is survived by his son, Robert; daughter-in-law Angelina; grandchildren, Gethsemane Rose, Hezekiah, and Ela-Gouyen; sister-in-law, Antonia; brothers-in-law, Peter and John; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association at http://www.diabetes.org/.
