Herbert Batterson, 91, of Milford, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2021. He was born on February 28, 1930 and was raised by his mother, Mary W. Trudeau.
Herbert joined the military at 18 and spent two years in the Army before joining the Air Force where he would continue his military career for another 38 years. In that time he had been to over 30 countries and received many awards, citations, and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant as an electronics and communications expert.
Herbert was an incredible brother and a very intelligent man. He was a giving person and had donated over 200 units of blood to the American Red Cross.
Herbert was a true patriot when it came to his country, community, and his community garden. He had sorrow in his life with the loss of his daughter, Laurie and his son, Mark, but his family surely loved him and will miss him dearly.
Herbert leaves behind his brothers, Victor (Ruby) Trudeau; nephews, Robert and Daniel Trudeau; and niece, Melissa Marshall.
All services will be private at this time. The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
