Dorothy Denning

Dorothy R. Denning, 89, passed away on November 29, 2022. Born on March 14, 1933 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Achilles and Anna Rustici.  

Dorothy was a bookkeeper with Girls Scouts of America before she retired.  She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, poker and bingo and was a animal lover.

Dorothy leaves behind her children, Robert Wood, Denise Wood, and James Wood; grandchildren, Michelle Wood and Elisha Wood; great grandchild, Kristian Cole-Wood; siblings, Ellen Nizolek, Anna Trombetto, , and Loretta Rustici; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her children, Richard and Debbie Wood; and siblings, Mario and Peter Rustici. Achilles Rustici Jr., and husband Ernie Denning

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. that day at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
