Bruce William Hendricks, Jr.

Bruce William Hendricks, Jr., 88, of Milford, beloved husband of Evelyn Fisher Hendricks, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2019. Born on July 10, 1930 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Frances and Bruce W. Hendricks, Sr.

Bruce graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1953. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Bruce devoted his entire career to Nash Engineering and also enjoyed working at the polls on Election Day for many years. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons. His hobbies included square dancing, bowling, working outside, enjoying nature, and spending time with his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his children, Paige Hendricks Ransford and her husband, Larry, Patricia Maxwell Stokes and her fiancé, Joe, and Pamela Kenney and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Jake and Grace Ransford, Michael Stokes and his wife, Jennifer, Jennifer Justinger, Daryl Stokes and his wife, Catherine, Amanda Travis and her husband, Chris, and Morgan Callahan and her husband, Garrett; several great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Ollayos; daughter-in-law, Thérèse Maxwell; and many nephews, extended family, and friends. Bruce is predeceased by his son, Clifford Erle Maxwell and brother-in-law, Bill Ollayos.

Friends and family may call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 2 p.m. that afternoon at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Milford Senior Center, Alzheimer’s Association, or Vitas Healthcare and Hospice.
