Prof. (Dr.) Blanche Barnes, 79, of Mumbai, India, deeply beloved mother of Arti and Vidya, amazing grandmother of Ann, Anika and Dhara, cherished mother-in-law of Roy and Elliot and adored sister of Otty Menezes and Sr. Stanislas (Precy) entered into eternal rest on June 13th, 2021. She was born in Mangalore, India, the daughter of the late Paul and Josephine Menezes.
She led an incredibly impactful life as an inspirational force for her family and the countless students at the SNDT University to whom she provided wisdom, courage and love through her guidance and example. She loved dogs and flowers, discussing cooking recipes and politics, her independence and her faith.
She is now in heaven watching down on us with her precious and beloved daughter Seema, her husband Dr. Leo Barnes, her brothers Sunny and Archie Menezes and her sister Elsie Jackson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT. The mass will be followed by a memorial service at Fr. Cronin Hall, which is attached to the church.
